Coastal Villages Community Radio

Coastal Villages Community Radio

is a new way to keep in touch with what’s going on along the south shore of Nova Scotia.  It is owned and operated by the Coastal Villages Community Radio Society, and broadcasts over the internet from LaHave, Nova Scotia.  Our home base is the line of villages running along the south shore of Nova Scotia from LaHave to Vogler’s Cove.  We  provide information about issues that affect our communities, as well as keeping you up-to-date on social and cultural events.  We introduce you to the people who live and work on this shore, and to the history that has made this place special.

We train on-air community broadcast volunteers so that our programs reflect local grassroots issues.  Our aim is to strengthen and promote the creative and economic vitality of these communities.  Coastal Villages Community Radio is committed to equality, peace and social and economic justice.  Watch this Youtube video  with Saltwire's John DeMont interviewing Don Sedgewick discussing the plans for the radio station.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjiPeOkPlzU
